Volvo D11 / D13 EGR Cooler – One of Many Applications We Support

Modern heavy-duty diesel engines rely on efficient cooling systems to meet strict emission standards. One key component is the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) Cooler, which reduces exhaust gas temperature before it is recirculated into the engine, helping lower NOx emissions while maintaining engine performance.
The Volvo D11 and D13 EGR Cooler features four functional ports, each connected to a dedicated pipeline within the engine system:
·Exhaust Gas Inlet (Large Flange – Left Side)
·Connected to the engine exhaust manifold via a metal exhaust pipe.
·Carries high-temperature exhaust gases into the EGR cooler core.
·Coolant Inlet (Upper Left Curved Port)
·Connected to a molded silicone coolant hose.
·Delivers engine coolant into the cooler jacket to absorb heat from the exhaust gases.
·Exhaust Gas Outlet (Large Flange – Right Side)
·Connected to the EGR transfer pipe and flexible connector.
·Transfers cooled exhaust gases back to the intake system for secondary combustion.
·Coolant Outlet (Upper Right Curved Port)
·Connected to the return silicone coolant hose.
·Returns heated coolant to the engine’s main cooling circuit.
